Could you support Street Paws and help us to care for pets living with homeless people? Street Paws needs an amazing team of volunteers to make us a success and we are on the lookout for more people to join us.
Street Paws supports homeless people to care for their pets across the UK with the provision of free accessible veterinary care and support services. Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity and really enhances your CV. There are many ways you can help and even a couple of hours a week will make a real difference.
If you enjoy driving, meeting new people and have a few hours spare per week this volunteering opportunity could be just what you are looking for.
What you will be doing:
As a volunteer driver, you will be representing Street Paws in the community, collecting items from our storage facilities and delivering to our supported charity partners as part of our Dog Champions Scheme. Our volunteer drivers use their own vehicles and we pay agreed travel expenses, so you won't be out of pocket. We do not cover the costs of any additional insurance you may require.
What skills do I need?
● Are you able to follow instructions
● Are you friendly and courteous
● Are you organised and reliable
● Are you able to lift and carry bags of stock and other items
Driving for at least 12 months. Aged over 18
● Current UK drivers licence
● Vehicle insurance: you must check with your insurer that you are covered for volunteering
● If your vehicle is 3 years or older a current MOT Certificate
